Strange Musings

Stranger Than You Know

25 August 1960
So, it occurs to me that I haven't actually included a bio in this 'bio' section. Let's see. I'm a million and a half years old in goldfish years. That's sort of like dog years, only for fish, so the years are much shorter.

I was born in Innsmouth and graduated from Miskatonic University with a degree in Unspeakable Horror. I did my archaeological internship at the Cliffs of Insanity, and then returned to get my post-graduate degree from Whatsa Matta U., under the tutalage of professor Bullwinkle J. Moose.

An Irishman I once knew told me that I reminded him of a tinker. He meant it as an insult but I thought it was both charming and insightful. And it's true: the idea of popping everything of worth to me into the back of a caravan and disappearing into the hills holds a distinct appeal. I have moved around a lot in my life, and I have had a bizarre assortment of jobs, only a handful of which have actually been interesting, so I shan't mention them here.

Passions: European history; art (drawing primarily, but also painting); reading; writing; needlework (needlepoint and cross-stitching); beading; puppets; film (particularly good black and white films); fantasy; mythology and fairy tales; religion and spirituality; tarot; classic horror films; griffins; ancient Egypt; comics. I love all animals but am particularly fond of owls, crows, cats, goats, horses, octopuses (octopi?), and hedgehogs.

Dislikes: olives, spiders, and the Republican Party. Oh, and Tom Cruise, who seriously needs to STFU.

Fannish trivia: Sybill Trelawney is my favorite HP character.
